Life Summary

Francis Charles Telfer β€” known as "Charlie" β€” was born at Kersbrook in the Adelaide Hills on 25 November 1875, the eldest son of John Telfer and Caroline Amelia Masters. He grew up in a farming family and later married Amy Ellen Provis on 6 April 1909 at Stokes, South Australia.

Charlie and Amy raised a large family of ten children β€” six boys and four girls β€” spanning from 1910 to 1933. Their ninth child was Murray John Telfer (1924–2009) (1924–2009), Grandfather, who later became a grazier on the Eyre Peninsula.

Charlie passed away on 20 March 1954 at Croydon, Adelaide, aged 78, and was buried at Enfield Memorial Park.
