Life Summary

Hannah Baker was born on 28 August 1855 at Peachy Belt, South Australia, the second child of William John Baker (1831–1919) and Sophia March. Her father had emigrated from Devon, England; her mother from Norfolk.

She married William Humphrey Parker (1850–1926), a Scottish immigrant's son, and they settled in the Long Plains district of South Australia. Together they had ten children.

Their son William Henry Parker (1893–1968) (born 1893) went on to marry Caroline Edna Lawrie (1890–1957) and became the father of Shirley Edna Parker — your grandmother.

Hannah lived to 1948, outliving her husband William Humphrey (who died 1926) by 22 years.
